U4-U8 RECREATIONAL REGISTRATION
Overview
Recreational soccer is focused on fun, skill development, and enjoyment rather than travel or high-level competition. The purpose of recreational soccer is to provide children with an opportunity to learn the game, develop life skills, and foster a lifelong love of soccer. Players are randomly assigned to teams without regard to abilities or skill leve
Age Groups & Teams
- Baby Eagles (2022-born, coed): All teams are newly formed; volunteer coaches are needed.
- Mini Eagles (2021-born, coed): Majority of teams are newly formed; volunteer coaches needed.
- Eagles (2020-born, coed): Majority of teams are newly formed; volunteer coaches needed.
- Lady Soaring Eagles (2019 & 2018-born, girls only): Half of the teams are newly formed; volunteer coaches needed.
- Soaring Eagles (2019 & 2018-born, boys only): Half of the teams are newly formed; volunteer coaches needed.
Price Includes: Uniform (shorts and jersey), participation medal, and insurance.
Teams are formed within two weeks after registration ends, based on EMSA’s team formation policy.
Team Placement
Players are placed on teams based on age group and neighborhood public school area.
Specific team or coach requests are not honored.
Player Status Categories:
- Returning Player: Defaults to the previous season’s team.
- Open Draw Player: Returning player who chooses to be placed on a new team; placement is random, requests not allowed.
- Former Player: Players who were not rostered in the previous season; may be considered for special requests if absent for 2+ seasons.
- New Player: Never played with EMSA; placement based on team needs; buddy requests may be considered.
Late Registration & Waitlist
Late Registration: Open after regular registration closes to fill available spots; team placement is not guaranteed. Late fees apply.
Waitlist: Once an age group is full, players may be placed on a waitlist. Players are not charged until they are officially placed on a team.
Frequently Asked Questions
What if my child can only practice on certain days?
Coaches are volunteers and set the practice schedule. EMSA does not assign practice times or locations.
Parents may volunteer as head coach to control practice scheduling.
How much playing time will my child get?
EMSA rules ensure that each player has the opportunity to play at least half of each game attended.
What if I’m unhappy with team placement?
EMSA encourages players, parents, and coaches to resolve issues together.

Register for the Spring 2026 season via the REGISTER NOW link provided.
Have these documents ready to upload:
Birth certificate
All Players must upload a headshot only (no family, pets, or others in the photo).
Do not create a new profile if you forget login details; this may remove previous team history and priority.

Season Details
Length: 8 games (weather permitting)
Dates: Late February – mid-May
Schedule: Primarily Saturdays; occasional weeknight or Sunday games due to conflicts or rainouts
Competitive Team Release
Recreational players wishing to join a competitive team must have written permission from their current Member Association.
