U15-U19 Recreational Registration

U15–U19 Recreational Registration

Recreational soccer focuses on fun, skill development, and enjoyment rather than travel or high-level competition. The purpose of recreational soccer is to provide children with an opportunity to learn the game, develop life skills, and foster a lifelong love of soccer. Players are randomly assigned to teams without regard to abilities or skill level.

These age groups are traveling age groups, separated by boys and girls teams. Teams play locally within the Mid-Cities area, with half of the games at home and half away. Newly formed teams will require volunteer coaches.

Price Includes: Uniform (shorts and jersey), referee fees, and insurance. Teams finishing top 2 in their division will receive awards.

Team Formation & Placement
Teams are formed within two weeks after registration ends according to EMSA’s team formation policy.

Players are placed based on age group and neighborhood public school area.
Specific team or coach requests are not allowed.
Player Status Categories:

  • Returning Player: Defaults to the previous season’s team.
  • Open Draw Player: Returning player who chooses to be placed on a new team; placement is random.
  • Former Player: Players who did not play in the previous season; special requests may be considered if absent for 2+ seasons.
  • New Player: Players who have never played with EMSA; placement based on team needs; buddy requests may be considered.

Special Requests:

Older players cannot be placed on a specific team or play down an age group. This ensures fair play and prevents team stacking.

Late Registration & Waitlist
Late Registration: Opens after regular registration closes to fill available spots; team placement is not guaranteed. Late fees apply.
Waitlist: Players may register on a waitlist if an age group is full. No charges until placed on a team.
